David Aukin
David Aukin has many years’ experience of producing and currently works as a Consultant and Executive Producer. Head of Film at Channel4 (1990-98) he co-founded Daybreak Pictures (2003-2021) with Hal Vogel. He is currently developing a slate of television series and feature films.

Film:— As Head of Film4, Aukin (1990-98) commissioned more than 100 features including such award winning films as The Crying Game, The Madness Of King George, Bhaji on the Beach, Riff Raff, Trainspotting, Shallow Grave, Secrets And Lies, Brassed Off and The Red Violin. Since 1998, as an Independent producer his films included Mansfield Park, Endgame, and True History Of The Kelly Gang.
Television:— His award winning slate for televison at Daybreak Pictures included The Promise, Britz, and The Government Inspector, all written and directed by Peter Kosminsky; The Trial of Tony Blair and A Very Social Secretary, both written by Alistair Beaton; and The Politician’s Husband by Paula Milne.
Theatre:— Aukin started in 1970 as an independent producer and in the 1970s ran the Hampstead Theatre, then the Haymarket Theatre, Leicester followed in 1986-90 by the National Theatre with Richard Eyre.
